Commercial Jet Washing enquiry

Commercial jet washing removes suitable dirt from hard surfaces around business premises. The method is selected for the actual finish rather than applied uniformly across an area. Concrete, painted metal, paving and fragile joints can sit next to one another, and each can respond differently to pressure, heat or cleaning products.

Surface trials

A representative test can establish the achievable finish without relying on excessive pressure.

Public access and washwater

People, hoses, wet surfaces and contaminated washings are controlled around occupied premises.

Surface trials and controlled washing

Pressure, nozzle distance and any cleaning product affect the finish. A representative trial is useful where coating adhesion or surface response is uncertain. Absorbed oil and weathering can remain after removable dirt has gone, so the test also helps establish what appearance can realistically be achieved without damaging the surface.

Public access and washwater

Entrances, delivery routes and pedestrian areas are separated from the active work where required. Spray, hoses and wet surfaces are controlled around people using the premises. Dirty water is handled according to what it contains. Contaminated washings must not simply be directed into surface-water drainage.

Finished appearance and remaining defects

The treated area is checked before it returns to normal use. Remaining marks, failed coatings and damaged joints are identified rather than treated with progressively more aggressive washing. Cleaning does not repair a worn surface or renew a coating.

Commercial Jet Washing: common questions

Will jet washing remove every stain?

No. Weathering, absorbed oil and damaged surfaces can leave marks after cleaning.

Can washing be done while the premises trades?

Work can be phased where safe access remains available; some areas need closure.

Can dirty water run into a roadside gully?

The receiving route must be established, with polluted water kept out of surface drainage.

Why test an area first?

It shows the achievable finish and checks whether the surface tolerates the method.

Does washing include recoating?

Only when that separate finishing work has been expressly agreed.
