Isolation, access and material collection
The exchanger needs to be isolated from the process, with residual pressure, temperature and contents dealt with under the site’s maintenance arrangements. Adjacent equipment is protected and released deposits are collected. Where the bundle cannot be reached in place, the necessary maintenance access has to be established before tube cleaning can proceed.
Cleaning results and integrity checks
We identify the tubes treated and any that remain obstructed or inaccessible. Cleaning can expose tube surfaces for further examination, but it does not prove that the tubes are leak-free. Leak or integrity testing and operating checks are separate maintenance stages. Deposit removal alone cannot guarantee a particular improvement in heat duty.
