What affects the choice of jetting method

The material to be removed is only part of the job. Pipe or surface condition, access, isolation, washwater recovery and the finish required can all change the method.

  • Deposit and process: what the material is, how it formed and any useful product or sample information.
  • Pipe or surface: dimensions, construction, condition and any coatings, linings or previous repairs.
  • Work area: access, isolation and whether the equipment can be taken out of service.
  • Recovery and finish: how solids and washwater will be collected, and how the finished work will be checked.
